Even though he shouldn't have been surprised by what happened - considering all of that precious witty banter he had earlier - the sight and sound of the creature's terrible rage shook Bit to the core. Crumbling to his knees, it took all of the blade's willpower to keep his orifices clenched tight so nothing escaped while the hell spawn roared.
Afterwards - Ears ringing, skin singed and tasting death, Bithautor wobbled back upright and looked around the group. Haltingly he began to speak "We should not....have done this? I think...no...why are we even here?" Lurching toward Baal he hissed "By Nergal's shorthairs who was that!" Spinning away he stumbled towards the golden doors and screamed "WHEN DID I BECOME A VASSAL OF ENKI?!"

The thing was not quite gone, either.

Still clutching the bottle, Thorsan fell back onto his rump as he gazed with mouth open at the spectacle of whirling fire and and oiled muscles. After a few moments of shock, he looked down into the now empty bottle. "Ye drank all the booze!?!" he shouted incredulously, upending the bottle over the sand kicking the now empty bottle with a boot.

It seemed that the lamp/bottle had been somehow affixed to the ground it rested on. It was also three feet wide at the base & about four feet tall. Thorsan would have to climb it to see if there was indeed anything left inside.

Alfbern took this disappointment in stride. He was vassal to no one and nothing but it served naught to argue with a fire-assed, ram-horned, flying giant. Instead he prudently crouched down and watched the thing seek an exit above them.
"We should have listened to the warning," he said to his sister.
He began rehearsing in his mind the first motions of some of his spells in case an escape became necessary.

Saskia ignored the others around here, staring up at the demon as it ascended. "SPIRIT," she shouted at the top of her lungs. "I WOULD BARGAIN WITH YOU."

"IT IS TRYING ENOUGH TO NOT SMITE YOU WHERE YOU STAND NOW, INSECT!"
The flames flared menacingly as the spirit shot even faster towards the top of the dome, where it literally punched a hole through with both flaming fists as it shook the entire structure. Sand began to fall through, as well as chunks of roof.
The dome might not hold for long.

Arristuun recovered his wits and assessed the situation. This monster definitely called for a javelin of lightning. If any of this floating ...thing was still within 20' of the river ranger, he hurled one at it.

The powerful spirit roared!
"TOO SOON!!!"
As the bolt struck his feet, yet dissipated quickly. It's body was about halfway through the dome, and the attack slowed it's exodus.
[After a lot of modifiers taken under consideration, your roll of 16 hits. It was +2 for the weapon, and +2 for what I considered a rear attack. The monster saved vs. electricity, 15 damage taken after the save. Removing the rest of this thread to the combat folder, as I've decided to allow one additional attack or intention after Arristuun's bold attack.]

The shaking ceased and the roof seemed to hold for the present. The party only heard sinister laughter fading into the distance and then vanishing. Saskia's hawk sent a mental message of fire and panic to the nature sorceress.
[The arrows that didn't hit, the un-magicked dagger and the hammer were easily retrievable.]
Baal & Osric climbed the rope and passed Saskia's hawk as they left the ruins. They saw their camp burning, smelled the burned camel hair, and noticed a body smoking on the ground a few feet outside of their camp. The fire spirit was nowhere to be seen, yet a lone crow was seen flying away off to the south and west.

Baal hurried to the smoldering body in the sand, hoping it was not yet a corpse. Before he knew the full extent if the injuries, he checked for signs of life from the skin-seared elf.

There was shallow breathing, but Galatea was currently unconscious. And smoldering.
This time without contempt.

Baal knelt beside Galatea and immediately began chanting, invoking the curative strength of Ramman once again. He could feel the heat emanating from her charred flesh. Abruptly, the stillness was broken. Loud purple-blue bolts of crackling energy shot from the druid's reflexively tense hands, as if Ramman himself had taken over. The healing bolts arced all about the singed body of the warrior she-elf. She let out an unconscious groan. Just as quickly as it had begun, the ritual was finished. The energy suddenly dissipated into the elf. Baal's arms and hands could relax once more. Galatea's once charred body returned to its natural state.
((Casting cure light wounds, twice if needed to bring her back to at least half her HPs.))

((Also, Baal will check the camels to see if he can help them--after he is sure Galatea is stable.))

Baal's healing worked it's wonders as the elf's burns and wounds subsided, leaving tender skin in it's place. She coughed some bloody phlegm before telling the druid what happened. She limped over to the still burning carcasses with him as they surveyed the damage.
[It looks like the scene from Star Wars where the moisture farm on Tatooine is in burnt ruins after the storm trooper attack.]
They might be able to salvage a few days worth of meat from the mess once it cooled down a bit, but the tents, rations and water they had left here were completely destroyed.
