At Alfbern's clarification, Bit grasped the shoulder of the slowly moving sand Ranger [druid/Baal].
"You know that we are all *so* excited to open this wickedly mysterious vessel, but the rooms we passed though provided useful information. It would be unwise to proceed before investigating all of them fully."

Baal felt a strange pull, but away from the vessel this time. It was one of his protectors. The druid's expression was blank for a moment as he returned to the seemingly far off world he had left behind an eternity ago.
"Perhaps you are right, Lucky," Baal smiled and leaned a hand on the fair traveler's shoulder. With that, he rejoined the others.
"I suggest we listen to the wise Lucky here. Arristuun, didn't you mention something of an unexplored passage?"

Thorsan looked back at the vessel for a moment, but as it was unlikely to hold booze, he shrugged and turned towards the new passage. "Just got the last o' the spider blood off me spike this morning, so it's time to find somethin' else to grease it up with". He plodded off into the passage leading the way, after letting his dwarven vision adjust to the dimness.

The next hallway held a similar layout to the one they had previously explored. Baal detected no traps (spell active for 25 more minutes). There was another prayer room to the right, but instead of a room similar to the one holding the statue, bones & tablet, the end of the hall was collapsed. Covered in dirt, sand and building pieces. If there was a way past this it was inaccessible.
So they investigated the room similar to the prayer room. Circular, and the same size as the one Alfbern had previously explored, the mosaic tiles in this room were white and azure. The domed ceiling was painted in a scene depicting an evening sky, with constellations and crescent moon showing a boat was also seen as if sailing through the sky. Six reed prayer mats sat in a circle in the middle of the room.
Baal still detected no traps. None of those with elven blood could detect any secret doors.

The party noticed that Galatea looked distant. She said something about checking on and watering the camels as she left top side.

"Good idea, Galatea. I've been worried about them too," Arristuun said. No longer distracted by worry about the camels, the river ranger was able to concentrate on tasks closer at hand.
"Alfbern was right, this way was a dead end. Time to go back to the long hall behind the gold doors and explore it more."
Arristuun would be looking for further exits at the far end of the hall.

The party went back to the main room and began looking for alternate exits. After a proper amount of time searching (while avoiding contact with the lamp), they came to the conclusion that if there was a secret exit, it was too well hidden for them to find.
Baal still found the lead stoppered lamp quite enthralling.

Thorsan watched everyone trooping back and forth in the sandy hallways with a critical eye. "I kin see where this is headed me laddies. Come on then, once begun is half dun, they say." He stomped off down the hallways back to the lamp.
Tugging on his beard with one hand, he walked a circle around the lamp for good measure. "Besides, it's only a wee lamp, what's the worst that'll happen?" he said as he stretched his hand toward the vessel.

Thorsan reached up to the seal on the lamp and deftly snapped it off.
And that was when Saskia was reminded of Enki's mischievous side.
A huge bronze skinned, heavily muscled & ram horned man appeared to grow quickly from the lamp's opening. He grew to a height of three times Thorsan's or twice that of a tall human. It's legs were obscured by a whirlwind of fire. It's arms raised to the ceiling as flames wreathed it's arms. The very stones trembled at it's arrival!
"AT LAST! AFTER A THOUSAND YEARS! ALL WHO LIVE SHALL FEEL THE TERRIBLE BURDEN OF MY WRATH! I SHALL LAY WASTE TO ALL THE LAND FOR THIS INDIGNITY! I SHALL SPARE YOU THIS TIME ENKI'S VASSALS, NEXT WE MEET I WILL KILL YOU ALL!!!"
And with that it shot up towards the ceiling into the air, paying them no attention.

Saskia had become quiet and distant. She found the fruitless searching to be tedious and her thoughts had begun to wander, dreaming of what powers might be hidden in this vault if only they could find it.
Suddenly her attention was drawn back to her immediate surroundings. The lamp. The lamp might hold such power. If indeed something was trapped inside, then perhaps she could bend it to her purpose.
"Ready yourselves," she said and then walked directly up to the lamp and pulled the stopper.
