Arristuun figured he would just go ahead and do it. He returned to the golden doors and spoke "Sahkr al Jinni" loudly.

Arristuun was apparently wanting to hurry through this underground building, the worry of losing camels, camp and food weighing on his mind. At the utterance of the magic phrase, the doors quietly opened inward to a 20' hall. Three sets of gigantic granite statues flank the left and right walls, their tops lost in the darkness from the height of the hall itself. There may have been some magical effect to that as well, as even their party's magical light did not seem to pierce the heads of the statues.
What appears to be a light blue translucent material fills the space between the first two statues.

"WAIT, Arristuun!!!!" Baal tried to inform the wildman of some of the inscription's meaning, but it was too late. The Ranger had spoken.
All Baal could do was stand by Arristuun's side and wait to see what was going to happen . . .
*******************
. . .the druid stood relieved as the doors opened quietly and no immediate ill effects were known. He turned to his cohort and spoke, "I should have told you sooner, but the word jinni refers to a powerful elemental of nature, a wild spirit. If the inscription was meant to be an admonishment, we may have luck with us. I hope we do not disturb such spirits here."

When he saw the goat herder moving towards the golden doors with a determined look in his eyes, Bit knew what was about to happen and fell in behind. Just as Baal's warning and Arristuun's magic words combined into the air he watched in wonder as the doors hissed open, passing over the fine layer of sand that covered this, and seemingly, every other surface. Bit felt very much out of his depth as he stared up at the revealed statues, wondering for the life of him how tall they could be, considering he couldn't see their heads.
Scanning the stature, he noticed the strange metal that adorned the walls, the strange blue unnerving in its clarity. Approaching the first statue on the right he tried to look closer at the strange blue surface.

There was no metal adorning the walls.
The shimmering material was almost definitely magical in nature. It was translucent, but lightly rippled as if water having a pebble thrown into it.
Not the type of thing one would randomly lick.

Bit had never seen a material like this before in his entire life, and when he examined it closely he found it was in fact not metal, but instead a magical barrier of some sort. Suddenly, and without warning, he felt very thirsty and drew his waterskin from his sack, slaking his thirsty tongue.

Thorsan was growing restless, and talked to break the silence. "Did I ever tell ye 'bout the time me cousin Tharnon lived inna tomb fer a whole year? It wasna a noble oath or nothin', he jest got kicked outta his clan. He said he NEVER saw a single ghost 'cept for this one time when a ghost stabbed him from behind an took his purse, though it might've just been a wizard, 'cause he had a robe on with two eyes cut out..." he trailed off awkwardly when the doors opened.

Alfbern approached the blue barrier for a better look.
((Is it vertical? Or horizontal? Does it run from wall to wall? How high does it go?)
He experimented by throwing a handful of sand at it.

The wall ran vertical, as an entire sheet, from ground to perceptible ceiling.
The sand hit the barrier, flashed blue, and landed on the other side. The barrier still stood. It felt a few degrees cooler for any of those party members standing close to the magical curtain.

"I have heard that Goats are hardy creatures and can withstand even the fiercest of magical forces..." Bit said with an mischevious grin as he eyed the river ranger

"Cold. Ideas?"
Alfbern eyed the statue and considered climbing it to see what lay above.
((Is the statue on this side or that side of the barrier?))

Baal stood near the shimmering translucent magic wall, held his hand out toward it and spoke, "Alhamduhla."

Upon the utterance of, "Alhamduhla", the barrier quickly faded from sight.
A yellow shimmering curtain sprang into existence at the next pair of statues.
A pedestal could be seen beyond the statues now, with what appeared to be a stoppered lamp or hookah. It was hard to make out much detail from here and with the magical field before them.

Baal waited for other members of the party to check for dangerous secrets yet hidden by darkness or magic while he tried to recall the remaining words inscribed on the stonework tablet atop the sand covered dome.
*********
Baal continued his thoughts aloud at a whispered level, ". . .hmmm, was it merely 'Bismilla'? Or 'Bismilla,' then 'Duban'?"
"Or perhaps it was 'Bismilla and Duban' together . . ." he scratched his slender, long beard as he gazed upon the deep amber hue of the scintillating screen.
