Even at a whispered level, the words had power. After quietly musing, "Bismilla", the barrier ceased to be.
Another curtain of mystical energy, this one red as Hell's fire sprang into existence at the final set of statues.
A little more detail could be seen on what was clearly a huge lamp or hookah, about three feet wide at the base and tapering to a fist's width about four feet tall. A plug could be seen in the top.

No one had yet checked for traps in between the huge statues.

Baal was surprised at the efficacy of his mumbling, "Then it must be 'Duban' to disarm this remaining magic barrier."
He pondered the party's next move before proceeding.
"We should consider what may be found beyond. This giant urn may be keeping something too dangerous to let loose. Yet, there may be wondrous treasures too . . ."

Once again the magics were unwoven.
The party had still not moved from their original stances.
The lamp could be seen clearly even forty or so feet away. Now that the barriers were lifted they could start to make out details of the ceiling as well, even the heads of the statues, the menhirs themselves 50-60 feet tall, heads supporting the roof of the room/corridor.

. . .Baal wandered back toward the entrance to the statue hall. He arrived between the first set of statues and began chanting ((Casting FIND TRAPS)), "Oh mighty Ramman! Grant me sight beyond sight!" His voiced grew louder until it became a thunderous, booming roar. Then total silence. His eyes were glowing with the power of Ramman.
Baal began sweeping the area with his gaze, hoping to locate any deterrents that might be within his observable range.

"That was impressive show man of the sands!" Bit exclaimed, perhaps a touch too loudly - he was on edge with the feeling that he, nor his companions should have ever come here. "Uh, if I may, I seem to recall that the front doors of this place advised us to 'Do not disturb the vanquished one, he is the treasure that must be kept.' Any chances that this incredibly impressive vessel that is guarded by gigantic statues and magical barriers, could *possibly* be what is keeping the 'treasure' safe?"
He fidgeted nervously, looking around the group for any support "Also, does anyone else have the feeling that this is going a bit too easily?"

Ramman's sight exposed no traps leading up to the lamp. The lamp itself however, provoked an interesting result. Baal could sense a trap, but unlike a pit or snare, came to mystical revelation that *something* was trapped inside the lead stoppered container. So, while it was a trap, he could sense no direct danger in it's opening to the party.
Quoted text from Find Traps: The caster learns the general nature of the trap (magical or mechanical) but not its exact effect, nor how to disarm it. Close examination will, however, enable the caster to sense what intended actions might trigger it. Note that the caster's divination is limited to his knowledge of what might be unexpected and harmful.

Baal moved close enough to the vessel, trying to reveal it's secrets.

Arristuun moved 20' into the room and held his ground. To anyone behind him, he said, "There was still another side room behind us. Did anyone wish to check it before we move further in this direction? Perhaps a tablet there would tell us more about the 'vanquished one'."

"Side room held nothing. Other passage too. I say go there first," Alfbern said.

Bit's face contorted into a grimacing smile as he drew his scimitar and dagger and moved close to Baal. "I have your back, new companion - whatever rash decision you may make."

"To clarify: we check side passage before lamp."

The desert-guide's focus seemed fixed upon the giant stoppered vessel as he approached it. Some of his companions were gathering closer, perhaps warning him not to take any sudden actions, but he either couldn't or didn't want to hear their concerns. The druid was pulled closer and closer . . .

The druid pulled closer, perhaps at the belief that if indeed a nature spirit or djinni was contained that Ramman might have brought him here to free it.
Or he was a bat-poop crazy hermit and sun baked beyond belief.
[I'm kinda at an impasse until Baal either opens or follows. Any additional reasoning with the mad hermit?]

"No, what about down the other way...?" Arristuun argued with Alfbern. He noticed what Baal was up to, but since the river ranger didn't know the results of the Find Traps spell, he had no reason to suspect that Baal was up to mischief.
