[First Tony pretends he has Animal Friendship, now Best claims we have another player. Zeesh.]

(Friendship the spell you silly bear. Animals are people too, man)
(Edit: I was totally joking, but thanks for the thorough explanation! )

[Not according to the friend spell which only affects intelligent creatures. Thus, not animal intelligence. That's why they made a separate spell for animals. Friends adds points to your charisma. Camels don't care how charming you are to humans. Given the D&D precedent for charisma's having penalties across race (such as a dwarf having a negative charisma towards an elf or orc) you're lucky camels even view your PC's at a 1-3 charisma to begin with.]

The left corridor turns right after 5 feet or so. After about 20 feet it turns left OR continues on for a little over twenty more feet straight. There, at the end is covered with a slope of sand partially covering a door on the left hand side. The stonework is of solid granite in this area.

"Try door," Alfbern said to the front rank. He had an arrow nocked and ready to fire as they explored.

His scimitar in one hand and a throwing dagger in the other, Bithautor braced for the dwarf to try the door.

As the party approached the door more closely, they could see that sand had been trickling in through the ceiling via a decent sized crack. The sand and dust covered about a third of the door and spilled a bit into the hallway. With a closer look, it could be seen that the bronze patina-ed door should swing out towards the hallway. They would have to dig out the sand & earth a bit to open it. It might take a bit of time to perform such a task by hand, perhaps a half hour with everyone helping.

"I will keep watch," Alfbern said and slipped back through the party so he could watch both passageways at the intersection.

((Thaunator = Bithautor? Ostric = Osric? Ariistuun = Arristuun))
Arristuun wasn't crazy about being pushed into the front rank, but he went along with it.
Arristuun needed a light source...

Luckily, Taliesin's continual light illuminated the breath and span of the corridor. While the company past the open left passageway to the sand blocked door they could see down a short hallway that opened into what looked to be a medium sized circular room. This is where Alfbern stood while the party excavated the earth.
[To be clear, the door is at the end of the hall on the left. The other passage is also on the left but does not have a door. I will post more tomorrow. If Alfbern wants to check out the circular room while the party digs out the covered door, or additional dialogue is needed, have at it.]

((Maybe spelling people's made-up names for their characters is a little perilous?))
Alfbern will inch forward to see as much of the room as he can, the corner and distance ((presumably)) blocked the light and allowed him to use his infravision.

Sheathing his blades, Bit said "Well, even 'grand adventurers' sometimes need to get their hands dirty, eh?" as he began pushing sand away from the opening. "Anyone else going to join me on this mighty quest?" he continued with a smirk.

"I have a feeling we're just going to get hit with sand when we open this door, but..." Arristuun said. He helped with the shoveling, ready to jump back if a wave of sand spilled out at him.

Alfbern was able to make out a mosaic lined floor and perhaps some remains of linen on the floor of the circular room. Nothing moved that he could see from his current vantage point.
He had plenty of time to look about, as it took his comrades about twenty minutes to unbury the door.
Zacklun detected no traps.
Thorsan, Arristuun & Bit opened the door together. No sand fell as the river ranger had predicted. As light was shone into the room, it revealed to be about twenty feet wide by thirty foot deep. The floor slants a bit and ends in the west, with ash and sand covering the entire end of wall. A statue of a scholarly man lies partially broken on the floor to the east, amidst two yellowed skeletons, one holding a pick and the other a mallet still grasped in their dead hands. A stone arm from the statue holding a tablet lies to their right. A few decent sized granite rocks also litter the floor near the bones.
