Baal wanted to charge with the fiercely brave dwarf, but knew his limitations. He formed up into a battle line with his protectors, and braced for impact with his spear ready in both hands . . .

Arristuun was quick to load a sling bullet and launched one from his sling at the spider furthest from anyone charging at one.
"Stick to missiles and spells!" he reminded the others. "Don't get close enough to get bit!"

Alfbern fired off the arrow he had nocked and ready. Then he continued firing at the spiders.
